These Animus have grown to see beyond their ring. Preternaturally aware of the actions of their enemies, they can predict their movements and strike accordingly. I've heard that they are rarely created by Channelers since their gift of sight can expose them to the reality of their imprisonment.
Suggested Unit Essences (The Last Divinity (DLC) only)
Since Animus of Will will most likely be one of your major damage dealers, any Unit Essence with a good Slay trigger would be useful, such as Branded Warrior, Shattered Shell, or Paraffin Thug. Also, since Animus of Will attacks three times by default, Strike triggers are also great, such as Alpha Fiend. Taking advantage of her Multistrike is also great with Unit Essences that grant Attack damage, such as Nameless Siren, Siren of the Sea, Big Sludge, Bog Fly, Steelsinger, Overgorger, Formless Child, Shardsoul Carver, Keeper of Echoes, First of Kin and Bounty Stalker (some of which will require supporting cards and/or Artifacts).
Animus of Will has a valuable essence for creatures when you have the means to massively scale their , giving them Multistrike with a downside of -15 than can be insignificant once that creature has gotten going. Apex Imp, Overgorger, Shadowsiege, and Big Sludge are all examples of Units that often benefit well from this.
