Crucible Collector is a Banner Unit of the Umbra Clan Umbra.png.


These former wardens have left their post as an overseer of Morsel workers to become a collector of all variety of gems. They've found that ingesting the metals of the Crucible gives them strength they've never known otherwise. The rest of the Umbra Shroud, however, does not seem to appreciate their newfound independence as much as I do.


Crucible Collector is one of the strongest lategame tank options in the game. With sufficient morsel support, it can be virtually invincible, tanking as many turns as it has Lifesteal charges. The biggest issue is making sure it doesn't die. In a pinch, you can place disposable units in front of it or give it Damage Shield to help it survive the early turns of a battle.

The card is considerably weaker against Seraph the Patient, who applies Melee Weakness to the front unit and deploys high-Attack minions, often resulting in the front unit taking a large (80+) amount of damage before getting to attack. If Seraph the Patient is your boss, consider using Crucible Warden instead, whose ability to get Damage Shield is much more effective against him.

Frenzystone is not recommended on Crucible Collector as this will cause it to lose 2 stacks of Lifesteal per turn, hurting its longevity significantly.

Upgrade Description
Upgrade Unit Heartstone.png Upgrade Unit Largestone.png Heartstone, Largestone, or other Health upgrades are an absolute must to ensure Crucible Collector does not get killed before he can hit back and regain his missing Health. Attack upgrades can be good as well, but they are secondary to making sure he survives in the first place. Largestone does this quite effectively, though the +1Capacity hurts, considering Crucible Collector wants to eat as many Morsels as possible.
