Crucible Warden is a Banner Unit of the Umbra 
. It has a Gorge ability, meaning it can be used as a front line unit that consumes morsels.

The dreaded patrols of the Crucible Mines, wandering the long pathways in search of slacking Morsels and idle researchers. Though originally a mark of their lowly status, the Void that protrudes from their shadowed torso serves as a useful guard against worker uprisings.
Strategy[]
Generally, this unit is best used as a front line tank, due to its Gorge ability. This can be coupled with units that provide more morsels, such as a Morselmaker, or attackers with low health, such as an Animus of Will.
This unit can also be used on the 2nd or 3rd floor, since it can take down units that make it past the first floor, while still being able to build up damage shields. It's considerably effective to feed it Jeweler or Magma Morsels, due to their Eaten abilities providing Damage Shields or extra attack power respectively.
