Forgone Power is a Stygian Guard Clan Stygian Guard.png Card in the Exile Crown2.png Starter Deck. You begin with 3-5 of them depending on your Covenant Rank.

Lore[]

The Martyr speaks of the power a name has over the soul, that the Titan released its name for the good of Heaven, Hell, and Humans. Perhaps the same practice observed by the Stygian Guard is an evolution of this and grants them some minimal power as well.

Strategy[]

Forgone Power is decent at whittling down frontline enemies and bosses early in the game. Later in the game, it loses potency, but still has decent synergy with Offering and Incant effects, especially with good card draw. It can remain a moderately useful card in the right deck. As such, especially on high Covenant Ranks, it can often be better to build a deck utilizing Forgone Power's strengths rather than spending resources purging it.

Suggested Upgrades[]

Forgone Power has no suggested upgrades, as none of the common upgrades can be applied to it, and the rare upgrades all have better targets.
