Making offerings to the Unnamed Titan has become a religious experience among the Stygian Guard. These offerings are made with such frequency that I helped to create tokens to represent a Guard’s offering to the Titan and simplify the process.
Offering Token has two major functions: a free, controlled way of discarding Offering cards in order to play them for free, as well as a 0-cost way of activating Incant.
When not used to discard an Offering card, Offering Token has the potential downside of making your hand worse by forcing you to discard the worst card in it. In the case that the worst card is useless (whether it's a Deadweight or simply a card you wouldn't have played anyway), it has no downside. But in cases where you otherwise would have gotten value from every card in your hand, Offering Token hurts your draw.
That said, it is the easiest, most reliable option for activating Offering. Given Holdover, it can guarantee you that you can discard an Offering card every turn for little-to-no cost and without slowing down (or speeding up) the rate at which you cycle through your deck while also providing an extra Incant activation on any floor you want.
|Keepstone is effective on Offering Token because you'll be able to consistently benefit from a card with the Offering affix if you happen to draw one.|
