Subsuming Blade is a Melting Remnant Card in Monster Train.

Lore[]

This blade grows larger with each use, slowly accumulating more wax and becoming more dangerous. Reluctantly, I created it with the Wickless when Hell was invaded to defend against the advancing Winged.

Strategy[]

The ideal upgrade set is Holdover + Energy. Holdover allows the damage on Subsuming Blade to scale up reasonably quickly, which obviates the need for any damage upgrades. Reducing the cost from 2 to 1 makes Subsuming Blade much easier to play alongside other cards. Subsuming Blade is a very flexible card, as it can be used for backline removal, removing your own units (e.g. scaling Bounty Stalker via Extinguish trigger + Reform, Imps), or dealing reasonable damage to enemy heavies.

Suggested Upgrades[]

Upgrade	Description
	Keepstone is an ideal upgrade for Subsuming Blade, as it allows you to snowball the damage bonus provided by the card.
	Emberstone is especially good on this card since you will want to play it every time you draw it. This is especially important if you have managed to upgrade it with a Keepstone as well.
